Our Vision

The Achieve Well team want all children in Nottingham to be healthy in mind and body. We are committed to creating a city where every child thrives physically, mentally, and emotionally in order to achieve their full potential. Our vision for the Nottingham Healthy Child, created with children and adults, aligns with Nottingham City Council's commitment to become a Child Friendly City. The Achieve Well team encourage all schools in the City to commit to the Nottingham Healthy Child vision.

Our FREE awards support schools to achieve excellence in their health and wellbeing practice and demonstrate their impact.

Annual Health and Wellbeing Survey

A roadmap to understanding the health and wellbeing of your pupils.

Intent smoking Prevention programme

Evidence-based resources on smoking plus vaping materials free for secondary schools in Nottingham City.

RSE Day

RSE Day takes place on the last Thursday in June each year, this year it will be celebrated on 27 June. The theme this year is Embracing Change.

Gambling Harms Training
11 March 25

Multiple dates throughout the year for professionals working with young people and children that may experience gambling harms. The training will give participants knowledge, confidence, skills and resources to prevent gambling-related harms and support those affected.

There is strong evidence for the importance of arts and creativity to children’s health and well-being. Following the launch of the Nottingham Healthy Child vison in November 2024 we invite you to join us for a practical session exploring ways to integrate creativity into classroom practice.

RSE Day Art Project Workshop - face to face

At this workshop, our artist, Millie Yarwood, will guide you through a range of techniques for creating your own in-house RSE Day mural based on the theme of 'Communicate'. You will have the opportunity to be creative, practising the skills you will share with your children back at school.

The Nottingham Healthy Child Conference 2024

On 28th November 132 passionate professionals came together at the Hilton Gateway Hotel for the first Nottingham Healthy Child Conference. The event brought together experts, local organisations, and teachers to exchange ideas, share good practice and drive forward health and wellbeing in Nottingham schools.
