Achieve Well Essentials Award
Essentials Award - This school actively supports health and wellbeing through self-assessment, development and review.
Schools following the Essentials award demonstrate that they ‘actively support health and wellbeing through self-assessment, development, and review’. The benchmarks and criteria for the Champion Award cover all aspects of an evidenced-based whole school approach to health and wellbeing. The Essentials Award is a self-assessment process, with schools auditing their practice, action planning, and implementing improvements. There is no external verification for the Essentials Award. Once all criteria are ‘green’ the school receives a certificate and logo. Essentials Award status remains for a period of 3 years when the school must re-assess to maintain their award.
Once a school has completed either the Essentials Award, they move on to the Impact Awards where they can focus on a specific area of need identified from their data.
